Nana Ama McBrown steals Emilia Brobbey’s husband

Nanaamaemelia
Close friends Nana Ama McBrown and Emilia Brobbey have allowed a man to come in between their friendship.

The two who have been close friends for a very long time do not see eye to eye anymore because Nana has betrayed their friendship by taking advantage of problems in Emilia Brobbey’s marital home and has consciously taken over Emilia’s husband.

Emelia Brobbey’s husband sent her away from her marital home to go back to her parents after he caught his dear wife (Emilia) in a hotel room with another man in what according to Emilia is a set up to destroy their marriage.

Emilia’s husband threatened to divorce Emilia because she cannot be trusted and whiles she was trying to explain and apology for her husband to accept her back with the help of her parents and her best friend Nana Ama McBrown little did she know that her best friend was taking advantage of the situation to steal her man.

This is the scenario in the first movie which stars McBrown to be released after her fatal accident titled “Madamfo” (My Friend). Nana Ama and Emilia Brobbey are best friends in real life and they played the role of best friends in the movie so well until McBrown decided to betray their friendship with her selfish interest.

Emilia Brobbey’s father Ernest Opoku played by Kwadjo Nkansah aka Lil Win a shameless womanizers who takes delight in spending on young ladies of his daughter’s age only to lour them to bed, even added salt to injury when he went to ask his son-in-law to pay a ridiculous amount of money as compensation for leaving his daughter instead of apologising on behalf of his daughter who was at fault.

Now will Jennifer’s (Emilia Brobbey’s) husband marry his wife’s best friend? What will Jennifer who trusts his friend so much do if she realise that the same friend who claimed she was going to plead on her behalf has ended up taking her man. How will Silvia’s (Nana Ama McBrown’s) marriage to his best friend’s husband end?

The movie which is a mix of romance, suspense, drama, action and comedy is about friendship and how some friend can betray their best friends because envy, jealousy, greed and selfishness.

There are several real life and moral lessons to learn from this movie. “Madamfo” directed by Theophilous Amoabeng and Produced by Ebenezer Ankrah also features Clement Sarfo, Akyere Bruwaa and Bernard Nyarko.

The must watch movie will be released in all movie shops across the nation from Monday April 22, 2013.

Female musicians exploited sexually, Adez calls for support

Adez
Upcoming Afro pop artiste Adez (Nana Adez Stokes) is calling on the Ghanaian society to create an enabling environment for female artists to thrive in the music industry.

In an interview with Kojo Akoto Boateng on the Ultimate Drive, Adez revealed that most female artistes find themselves in a dilemma when they start promoting their songs because some people ask for sexual favors before they help them.

According to her, the challenges that female artistes face in the industry are a major setback forth growth of the industry.

She has therefore advised music lovers to support good music and listen to the right artistes.

Adez has worked extensively with legends like Kwabena Kwabena, Kojo Antwi and Obrafour. She says given the right support, Ghanaian female artistes can sell Ghana globally.

Adez recently released the video of her hit single ‘Budiin’ featuring StoneBwoy. She says plans are advanced to shoot a special video of ‘Budiin’ for TV.

Between John Dumelo & Harrina, who is the ‘maradona’?

Johndumeloharribabe.jpeg
The whole issue started when a leak on the alleged marriage on the 11th of March 2013 between Ghanaian actor-John Dumelo and USA based Harrina Alexander. As it stands, we decided to see how the whole issue was going to end, but it seems every day there is a new twist to the drama.

At first we thought it was a mere case of publicity stunt as in the case of getting attention but not after an Accra based radio station-Peace Fm placed different phone calls to the two people involved to speak on air. Making this brief, we heard that one party wants to become famous; another party wants an American permit, this and that. The whole scene became and is still confusing.

Between John Dumelo and Harrina Alexander, who is deceiving the public? Why would anyone want to deny and shy away from the being a responsible man or woman? What is it about becoming a ‘star’? What is it about having an American paper?

After both John and Harrina have had their fair share of speaking on air, the issue is becoming more intriguing and funny. It’s becoming a case of one person playing the role of a ‘maradona’. They initially tried to make it vague but as it stands, so many unpredictable and contradictory insinuations have come out.

From our assessment so far, John and Harrina are dribbling and joggling Ghanaians and the world at large better than Maradona did with the ball way back. Just that they are waiting for the perfect ‘hand of God’ to ridicule themselves more.

Their antics in our opinion are strategic, selfish, and ruthless as they are both playing a smart card of who becomes the first opportunist. They are both manipulators of whatever deal they had or will have.

John Dumelo should come out clean by convincing us that the lady is trying to ‘use’ him to gain popularity. He should be man enough to tell his fans whose idea this was and why he got into the whole drama from the onset.

Harrina should provide evidences. She must know that there are prices to be paid in the course of becoming a celebrity. She must understand that self-advertisement as an attempt to become what many people have painstakingly walked into will only result in ridicule.

We are still watching from afar, but it must be clear that before any judgment is passed, there must be evidences beyond reasonable doubt because he who alleges must prove.

Jackie Appiah & Adjetey Annan ridiculed on set

Jackieappiahannan
Sometimes when you sit in the comfort zone and watch a movie, you see the celebrities smiling before the cameras and granting interviews, one will never recognize or appreciate the efforts put in by them. They all deserve the praise.

A whole lot goes into a successful movie and what goes on behind the scenes are very important. From what the actors and actresses eat and drink, where they sleep, where they change their costumes etc.

But on this fateful day, our focus is on the disdainful scene we came across on the Venus Films set at the A&C Shopping Mall at East Legon, where two known stars-Jackie Appiah and Adjetey Annan were caught using the car park as their own changing room.

For Adjetey Annan who didn’t see anything wrong said it was “Asaba style” as called in Nigeria. He went on to justify his act that such occurs everywhere in the world.

For Jackie Appiah who recently emerged as the best actress at the Africa Magic Viewer’s Awards choice in Lagos did not condescend too low as a woman but tried to maintain a little bit of privacy by changing in the car.

Imagine the stress and humiliation these two had to pass through all because Venus Films couldn’t provide a common mobile truck which could house the bathrooms, changing rooms, and also double as offices for crew members.

A lot more needs to be done to help our movie industry behave professionally because it is not wise to premier a movie at the Silverbird cinemas, creating the impression that it was of high standard when the actors were totally ridiculed on set.

Sarkodie should take a cue from Eazzy’s disgrace @ BBA

Sarkodieawards
Big Brother Africa Season 8 has currently finished audition in all participating countries and contestants are set to be announced next month before the show starts.

Although Ghana’s representatives have not been mention yet, information reaching us has it that, it is possible Sarkodie might be representing Ghana in the Big Brother Africa Season 8 as first reported here, read Sarkodie for Big Brother Africa 8?.

Not confirmed yet, Ghana’s revered graphic designer and entertainment analyst, Patrick Narh in America has revealed that it will be a big mistake for Sarkodie to enter the Big Brother Africa reality TV show.

He stated that Sarkodie who is also known in real life as Michael Owusu Addo does not have a good human relationship to attend a program like Big Brother Africa. He added that Sarkodie doesn’t need Big Brother to build his image but rather, Big Brother needs him.

“Big Brother is about two things; money and fame. When it comes to money, Sarkodie claims ‘money no be problem’ and when it comes to fame too, Sarkodie is famous and doesn’t need Big Brother to be more famous in Africa”, he added.

He advised Sarkodie that if he doesn’t want to end his music career, he should rather concentrate on different strategies in building his image in the world market than thinking Big Brother is the platform for him to introduce himself to the world.

“Sarkodie should be fast and wise to learn from how Eazzy disgraced herself and now struggling to re-build her image after attending the Big Brother last year. Besides that, he needs to ask himself how many top Nigerian super stars have ever dreamt of going to Big Brother. It will be best for him to respect himself and not play with kids, because he’s a grown up and need to play with mature people. Big Brother is for amateurs who want fame, not people like Sarkodie”, he concluded.

Lydia Forson attacks photographers/bloggers on twitter

Lydiaforsonobolo
Lydia Forson went silent for a little while but it seems the whole industry isn’t going right according to the sexy plump Ghanaian actress.

Particularly her focus this time is on the industry’s photographers and bloggers, for whatsoever reason she feels isn’t to her favor. She feels they either snap her in a wrong way apart from how she poses. She feels they take her photographs and make them look funny. She feels that a blogger should sit down, scan through her album and pick the most impressing photograph. She also feels that if she doesn’t smile in a pose, the photographer or blogger must conjure a bright face to suit her.

Lydia is one of the few actresses in Ghana who is a social media friendly type but though not too interactive with her fans, she still finds time to go motivational. Before now she has become a toast to our screens and thus, every photographer will want to have a snapshot of her, but her prime insinuation in her own words on twitter is that,
“why wud a photographer/blogger deliberately upload an unflattering picture. U focus on making someone look bad…” In that same text she reminds them that their work also looks bad.

Do you think that the ‘Scandal’ new entrĂ©e went unconventional with her choice of words or you think enough is enough with those (photographers/bloggers) who bring her to the limelight?

See after the jump some of her recent photos she consciously posed for the cameras…

Ajeezay, the new kid on the comedy bloc

Ajeezay
Comedy in Ghana is fast becoming a venture worth being part of. The system itself is fast adapting to the people and the people in return love the whole scenario of comedy playing a huge role in the country.

Ghana has produced comedians from the likes of Funny Face, David Oscar, Hogan, DKB, Foster aka Romanus, David Aglah, Khemikal, James Brown, amongst others. This means that the country is moving forward when comedy is mentioned. These aforementioned names have used their abilities to create a platform to crack people’s ribs and make some small money for themselves.

Just joining the train is the new wonder kid-
Ajeezay. He was part of the TV show ‘Born Stars’, but he did not pass the audition stage (no pun intended).

That aside, he is humorous; he is another definition to the word-‘funny’. His choice of lines comes virtually with a responsibility to change the face of how comedy should be, that’s adventurous, bold, daring and democratically spicing.

Ajeezay
is a standup comedian, a great entertainer whose talent cuts across. Not just is he a comedian, he churns out comical songs to add in the rib cracking process. His songs are unadulterated and equally carrying the warning tag of, “to be forewarned is to be forearmed, please, fasten your diaphragm before entering.”

With
Ajeezay, no issue is too serious or unserious to be spilled. Ghana can be proud because one thing is sure, no matter how serious or tragic any issue is, you will still be able to have a take-home pack with some laughs and, of course, food for thought. You can also like him on https://www.facebook.com/Ajezay.

Insulting P-Square was childish – Bandana tells Samini

Bandana
Was it right or wrong for Ghanaian dancehall colossus Samini to have chastised Nigerian music duo P-Square for their ‘Alingo’ dance?

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior popularly known in showbiz circles as Bandana thinks it was childish for Samini to have done a song to diss the duo. He says it will be difficult to defend in the law court that P-Square stole our Azonto.

He said in an interview with Flex newspaper that the ‘Alingo’ dance is on its own just as ‘Azonto’. “There is this saying that pay attention to your interior matters. Any time I do music that has something to do with him he doesn’t reply but saw it necessary to respond to P-Square. He has painted a bad picture about Ghana,” he noted.

Did Bandana hit it straight to the point or he is just being a 'player-hater' or is he trying to get a kind of favour from P-Square, what do you think?

Ghanaians should accept P-Square’s Alingo - Puffy Tee

Puffytee
Nigerian music producer and song writer, Puffy Tee has described Azonto as the best dance and music form ever to hit the world stage.

He however noted that, like every other dance form, it could fizzle away if another good and exciting dance form comes up, but advised that with the right kind of promotion Azonto would last for a long time.

Touching on the Azonto-Alingo fracas, which has come up as a result of the release of Samini’s Azonto, this is exactly what Puffy Tee said, “the music industry is a vast one so everybody has the opportunity to create a new thing, so if Ghanaians introduce Azonto and P-Square from Nigeria also create Alingo, it`s all in the best interest of the African music industry as a whole”.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Flex Newspaper, the man responsible for Olu Maintain’s Yahooze, VIP’s Away and Becca’s No Away hit tracks, conceded that in as much as Azonto and Alingo are different in name, the dance is very similar.

He advised that even though Ghanaians introduced Azonto, which has now become so popular worldwide, Ghanaians should also accept P Square’s Alingo and make it a success as well.

Puffy Tee is currently in the country working on some songs he is recording as he prepares to launch his career as a music artiste.

He is currently working with Becca, Eazzy and VIP. It`s also quite possible that he may record a hit track with Sarkodie before he returns to Nigeria.
